According to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, this feature is in development but is still in the earliest stages. The company thinks the payment integration in Microsoft Teams will provide organizations with a ready-to-go option for requesting and taking payments in Teams. Devices around the globe are increasingly becoming interconnected through the Internet of Things. While being able to connect to devices throughout the home or workplace, IoT has also created a huge attack surface for hackers to target. Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center says the Russian-based hacks started in April. They were likely conducted by the group known as Fancy Bear (also called Strontium). You may remember the group has been significant in supporting the Russian government with hacks such as against the Democratic National Committee in 2016....

OneDrive users are getting some features that we have seen before on the Office Lens application. Among those additions are major changes to the scan ability. Version 0.10 of the Windows Terminal app does little to expand functionality, highlighting how Microsoft is preparing for the version 1.0 release. If a PWA is registered with the URL Protocol Handler, the app will open when the user clicks a hyperlink with a scheme such as web+music://. Hicham Kabbaj of Floral Park, Long Island, New York, pleaded guilty in front of prosecutors on Friday. He admitted one charge of wire fraud and could face up to 20 years in jail. However, it is predicted federal district Judge Richard Berman will pass a more lenient sentence later this year. “Today, Mr. Kabbaj pled guilty to a serious felony because he chose to misuse his position of trust as a corporate executive to steal company funds for his own personal gain,” said Jonathan Larson, the Internal Revenue Service special agent in charge of the case....

Kubernetes clusters in Windows container work over Linux to help customers manage cloud services. Unit 42, the zero-day wing of Palo Alto Networks, says Siloscape was spotted by researchers in March. It was given its name because it focuses on trying to compromise Windows containers and then escape through the server silo. In a blog post this week, the team says the cybercriminal fingerprinting technique has uncovered two authors selling Windows local privilege escalation (LPE) exploits. Both are thought to have already sold exploits to Russian attacks groups. Check Point says fingerprinting was developed after a customer incident. Specifically, the team found a 64-bit executable during an attack on a client. Once the file was checked, researchers found it was hosting rare debug strings....
