Xbox testers on the Alpha Skip Ahead branch can now test Microsoft Edge. As well as availability on the new consoles, the browser is also on Xbox One. As this is a test preview, the performance is slightly buggy but otherwise it’s the Edge experience we know on Windows. That said, it so far lacks support for mouse and keyboard. We guess we are still a few months from the browser being fully launched on Xbox consoles....

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash), a ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee, was leading a push for the bill to be introduced. Known as the Consumer Online Privacy Rights Act (COPRA), laws would change to be in line with those in Europe. The goal of the bill is for to give consumers more privacy rights. According to Akamai researcher Or Katz, attacks are using old phishing kits that were previously used but have since been discontinued. In a post on Thursday, Katz says hackers have now brought those old methods out of retirement. As hundreds of millions of people around the world work from home or are only communicating digitally, there is a wider base of potential victims. Security researchers have found a surge in phishing activity....

It seems the email system was used to send legitimate looking message. In fact, the messages come from a real Craigslist IP, making them seem authentic. In the emails, users are told that an add they placed on the platform is in violation of terms and conditions. Accompanying the warning are instructions for the user to avoid their account being removed. One problem is the instructions and the whole email are fake....

Wrongly classified accounts are those that were assigned incorrectly during registration. This could be a company profile which has been set up as a private account in order to inspire more confidence among visitors. Undesirable Facebook accounts are considered those profiles which deliberately violate the platform’s terms of use, by intentionally using false information. This happens primarily to spread spam, hiding behind non-existing personas. But fake Facebook profiles also include second and third party accounts of real persons....

However, the services are only now recovering and at the time of writing some users are still shut out. At this point, GitHub has been down for several hours for a subset of users. Those users reported being unable to log in to their accounts earlier on Monday. Others say they could not access integrated development environments (IDEs), which are connected to GitHub.
