AirSim is a Microsoft Research project that allows drone manufacturers and software developers to create robotic autonomous systems. As the name suggests, the platform provides a realistic simulation environment. Designers can use the sim to train their machine learning technology and generate data for analysis. Since opening the Xbox FanFest three years ago, Microsoft has reached fans at fests around the world. In 2016 alone, 13,000 fans attended events around the world. The company says the event will give 500 fans an opportunity to get close to Microsoft’s Xbox experience at the conference. Microsoft has debuted a competition on data science website Kaggle. Trendlabs says the ransomware is currently being sent through spam emails on Microsoft Outlook. With botnet capabilities, the researchers say Virobot has the ability to quickly infiltrate machines through a successful email attack. If it is activated by an unwitting user, the Virobot infection are distributed across a contact list in Microsoft Outlook. This is an effective and rapid distribution technique that makes this ransomware potentially dangerous. In a paper to detail the DeepSinger, Microsoft says it trains the AI with data from music-focused websites. Using a uniquely designed component, the research team could train the AI to separate the timbre of a singer’s voice even in noisy data.
