Codenamed the LENOVO CB-01, the device will sit alongside the already launched efforts from HP and Asus. While the Chinese company has not launched the CB-01 (expect a CES launch next month), benchmarks have appeared. As you may expect, the benchmarks are not too dissimilar from the Asus and HP machines. Lenovo’s laptop features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and 4GB of RAM. It managed a score of 1142 points in Single-Core and about 4148 points in Multi-Core....

The name of the new ability is pretty self-explanatory. LinkedIn users are now able to search for jobs at organizations that have someone already connected to them. For example, a contact on LinkedIn working in a company where there is a job opening. Under the new system, users are able to ask that contact to provide a referral directly to the job post. LinkedIn Lookup helps users search and connect with their coworkers. You can easily find coworkers by title, skill, expertise and more. Between January and June 2019 LinkedIn says it stopped 19.5 million of the fake accounts at the registration stage. This means they were unable to actually get on the network. However, 2 million fake accounts did break through. However, the company says is managed to remove them before receiving reports from users. So, around 98% of all the fake accounts were removed through LinkedIn’s own defenses. The company employs artificial intelligence to help find fraudulent accounts....

Technical Preview builds of Unreal Engine 4 and Unity are also available, bringing spatial computing to game developers on their most familiar platforms. It should also let them port over existing projects so they won’t have to start from scratch. “Teaming up with the world’s leading 3D engine providers, Epic Games and Unity Technologies, opens a clear pathway to creating on the Magic Leap platform and puts spatial computing development within reach for developers familiar with these engines,” said a company spokesperson....

Now, a beta version for the desktop improves things further. The app has received a major feature from the web: image embedding, as well as support for multiple desktops. Microsoft has partnered with the University of Copenhagen and boosting its investment in the Niels Bohr Institute. The company’s employees will collaborate with researchers within the institute.
