The new platform will help Azure customers accelerate their digital transformation with automated IT delivery for traditional and cloud-based apps. In a press release, Dell EMC says the service for Azure Stack helps make the Azure platform seamless on-premises and in the cloud. The company used its own PowerEdge and Networking solutions to create the hybrid platform. Dell EMC Cloud is built with an eye on the growing demand for convergence between public and private cloud. The hybrid solutions makes the development and deployments of apps on Azure Stack more efficient. Microsoft and Dell point out that this improves cost effectiveness for organizations, but maintain security. “Making hybrid cloud platforms simple and turnkey enables businesses to rapidly develop and deploy new applications, optimise resources, control costs and deliver the best possible customer experiences,” says Peter Cutts, Senior Vice President, Hybrid Cloud Platforms at Dell EMC.
Streamlining Cloud Serivces
By leveraging its own backup and encryption technology, Dell EMC Cloud can be secure and speedy. Additionally, the hybrid cloud also supports Dell EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud and Native Hybrid Cloud. This brings integration with hardware and software. With automation, IT service delivery is more efficient and less time consuming. “Microsoft and Dell EMC are continuing alliance by investing in Microsoft Azure Stack on Dell EMC infrastructure to meet rising customer expectations for solutions that deliver a top-quality public and on-premises cloud experience,” says Mike Neil, Corporate Vice President, Enterprise Cloud, Microsoft Corp. Microsoft announced in February a partnership with telecommunications giant Cisco. The company said its integrated hybrid cloud solution will debut on Azure Stack later in the year.
