1 Windows 10 Build 15063 Changelog2 Windows 10 Creators Update for Mobile
This build included a single fix for Fast ring Insiders, which enabled the ability to update to Build 15063 from the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 14393) on Windows Phones. However, up until now, Windows Insiders in the Slow ring were running the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15051. Now, Microsoft has released the Preview Build 15063.2 to the Slow ring as well, which brings lots of fixes.
Windows 10 Build 15063 Changelog
Essentially, Windows Insiders in the Slow ring will now be able to update to the Preview Build 15063 which Microsoft announced back on March 21. The full changelog for Preview Build 15063 for Mobile is as follows:
“We fixed the bug causing a number of inbox apps to fail to launch (such as Store) and also preventing any app updates from the Store from working. Thank you all for sending us feedback around this. We fixed the bug causing background tasks to not run in the background like they should such as OneDrive’s camera roll sync feature. Background tasks should be working again as expected and your camera roll will sync to OneDrive again. We fixed the issue where in some cases you may lose your call, text, and email history may be lost if your device experiences an unexpected reboot. Speech Packs should download and install normally. We fixed an issue for Insiders with certain cars resulting in connection failures after pairing Bluetooth. We fixed an issue where replacing the default APN for LTE on the phone wouldn’t work.”
With the addition of Preview Build 15063.2, which enables users to update to Build 15063 from the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Insiders in the Slow ring received a ton of fixes.
Windows 10 Creators Update for Mobile
As we reported back on March 24, the Update Assistant for the Windows 10 Creators Update leaked online, suggesting that the RTM build for Redstone 2 could be 15063. With that in mind, it could be possible that the Windows 10 Creators Update might come to Windows 10 Mobile sooner rather than later. Back on March 6, Microsoft confirmed that the Creators Update will arrive in Windows 10 Mobile after it reaches PCs. The last time Microsoft released a major update, it rolled it out to PCs first, then to Windows 10 Mobile. Back in the summer of 2016, Microsoft started rolling out the Anniversary Update to Windows 10 Mobile two weeks after releasing it to PC.
