After that, build 15063 will enter the Windows 10 Current Branch and will make way for the next wave of Insider Preview builds from the Development Branch. These builds will lead up to the eventual release of the Redstone 3 update, later this year. Now, a few days before the general release of the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft has advised its users to check their settings. In a blog post, the head of the Windows Insider Program, Dona Sarkar, explains the two procedures users should follow if they wish to change their ring or if they want to stay on the Windows 10 Creators Update. Here are the adjustments you can make to how you receive Insider Preview builds:
Change your ring: Go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Insider Program and move to the Slow or Release Preview rings for more stable builds
Stay on the Windows 10 Creators Update: Go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Insider Program and press the “Stop Insider Preview builds” button. A menu will pop up and you will need to choose “Keep giving me builds until the next Windows release”.
Microsoft: No big changes yet
As for the Windows Insiders that are dedicated to the Fast ring and will continue receiving Insider Preview builds first, Dona Sarkar has offered a glimpse of what’s to come. The head of the Windows Insider Program says in the blog post that “[Microsoft] is focused on making some refinements to OneCore and doing some code refactoring and other engineering work that is necessary to make sure OneCore is optimally structured for teams to start checking in code.” Sarkar clarifies that users will not see many big noticeable changes or new features in new builds just yet. Just like before, with the first Windows 10 Creators Update Preview build 14901, Microsoft will not be bringing any big changes after the release of a new Windows 10 update.
