If you are unfamiliar with Boot Camp, it is an Apple software that runs Mac machines into multi-boot devices. By leveraging Boot Camp, users are able to run Windows 10 on an Apple device. However, it seems Windows 10 May 2019 Update and older Boot Camp builds are not jiving well. Microsoft says the update is causing issues with Windows 10 1093 on Mac devices from before 2012 and those running old versions of Apple Boot Camp....

Exceeding Expectations Meanwhile, Microsoft’s fiscal first-quarter results broke its records. Revenue totaled $29.1 billion over the last three months, an increase of 19 percent year-on-year. Net income reached $8.8 billion over the last period, an increase of 34 percent compared to the same timeframe last year. Analysts predicted revenue of $27.9 billion, so it blasted those predictions out of the water. Again, Microsoft saw a large growth in its cloud business, while Surface, Xbox, and Windows OEM Pro also saw increases....

These are fairly significant additions to the Microsoft Bot Framework. At the conference on day one, the company revealed Adaptive Cards support for multiple apps. Some of them are Microsoft’s own important services, such as Skype, Cortana, Bing, and Microsoft Teams. Other new Adaptive Cards include Notifications and rival platforms iOS and Android. Announced at Inspire 2021 this week, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability helps organizations measures, understands, and manage their carbon emissions. Indeed, fixing up issues is the focus of Windows 10 build 16278. That makes sense as it is the third Fast Ring release in a week. Last Wednesday, Microsoft launched build 16273 with new Emoji notifications in My People, and a new Bahnschrift font. According to Google, there is already an exploit for the vulnerability in the wild. However, the flaw has also gotten a fix on the latest Chrome version. So, the company is telling users across Windows, Linux, and macOS to update to version 99.0.4844.84. As this is a Chromium issue, it is not exclusive to Chrome and also effects Microsoft Edge. In the latest addition to the Chromium base, Microsoft is adding a tool that allows integration of a volume mixer. Spotted by WindowsLatest, the tool will allow Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome to highlight the names of audio tabs open in the Windows 10 volume mixer. If you are unfamiliar with the volume mixer, it can be accessed through a right click of the volume icon on the Windows 10 taskbar....

WebView2 was initially launched in preview at Build 2020 earlier this year. In some ways, Microsoft Editor is Microsoft’s push against Grammarly. Office users were increasingly turning to tools like Grammarly to expand the built-in editing functions. Editor aims to be a one-stop shop service that offers spelling and grammar suggestions. In the latest update for the tool, Microsoft Editor is receiving a couple of interesting new abilities. The latest update is now available for users of Microsoft Word on Windows 10....

Looking at the new additions, first up is the color palette getting more customization tools. There is now a “more colors” option that allows users to slide across to select the color they want. This is basically the color picker you’d find in other Office apps. Alternatively, it’s possible to enter the RGB of hex values for the color you desire. According to a report from the Varonis Forensics Team, the Hive ransomware is being used in new attacks against Microsoft Exchange Server. It you are unfamiliar with Hive, it is a ransomware-as-a-service. Microsoft has been patching Exchange Servers for over a year to protect against ransomware attacks. That means many organizations are protected, but others did not install the fix. Those remaining vulnerabilities are the target of Hive, which is using ProxyShell flaws to access SYSTEM privileges....

Starting with AI for Earth, Microsoft has announced a significant expansion of the program that launch earlier this year. At the time, Microsoft made a $2 million investment, including 35 grants across 10 nations. At the One Climate Summit in Paris, Microsoft’s Brad Smith said it will now invest a further $50 million over five years. The money will help manage climate issues around the world. Microsoft explains the setting for the tool was turned off in an effort to reduce disk space used by Windows 10. However, there are other ways to reduce disk space considering automatic registry backups hardly take much space. In fact, backups should be around a few hundred megabytes, which is hardly going to be a gamechanger in terms of overall disk space. “This change is by design, and is intended to help reduce the overall disk footprint size of Windows....
